April 2018: Talking With Tina

Categories

There is a special magicality to April. I can feel something rustling around in the air- and no, I don’t mean pollen. But as we thaw out from winter and shed a few layers I always feel a refreshed sense of gratitude that breathes new beginnings. As I approach turning 38, I look back and thank the many lessons life has brought me and look forward to another year to act with intention.

38 is all about my pledge to provide for my supertribe. I am heading to Chile at the end of the month with the Henry Crown Fellows. With guidance from the great greek philosophers (never thought I’d be reading Aristotle and Sophocles in my free time!!) we are coming together to discuss what makes a good society. I am thrilled to take the teachings from my Chile trip into this new year as I continue to focus on the ways I can help women grow, launch, and lead companies. My purpose is to help my tribe harness their power and creativity and begin the first steps as an entrepreneur!

With this, I am excited to announce the launch of my free audio course, “12 Questions Every Business Plan Must Answer” that will be up on the site in coming weeks (stay updated for exact launch dates by following me on instagram and twitter). This course is step one for all you soon to be entrepreneurs. Additionally, Stage Your Start Up: How To Raise The Cash You Need will be up on the site towards the end of May. Lauren Millian and I are elated to share this course with all of you!  With new beginnings comes new lessons.

In the spirit of Spring celebration, let’s celebrate a woman whose company is all about celebrating women, Meredith Fineman. Meredith is the founder of FinePoint where she teaches women and young girls how to boast their achievements and celebrate themselves. Her new book Microtrends Squared: The New Small Forces Driving the Big Disruptions Today with Mark Penn is in stores now. Be sure to check out 5 Min With Capri S. Cafaro, a true revolutionizer. Capri is a former Ohio Senate Democratic Leader and is now taking on her role as Executive in residence at American University’s School of Public Affairs in D.C.  While you’re over there, hear how founder of Squeaky Clean and mother of 5, Michelle Morris, has been balancing it all for 15 years and still manages to grow her company.

In the spirit of Spring, share some gratitude and make sure to celebrate those who have guided you thus far!
